Davis Farmers Market is quite busy. Market days are Saturdays and Wednesdays. You have to come early, or you won't find any parking around the perimeter of the market. Almost always, one has to walk a distance to the market!

This market operates under a Pavillon which was built especially for the market. It draws seven to ten thousand people each week. The market takes about one third of an almost 5 acre on Central Park in Davis on Saturdays.

The market sells all sorts vegetables: root vegetables, leafy vegetables, etc...

Fruits in season.

Fish

Meats

Eggs

Dairy

Bread

Flowers

Honey, olive oil... and much, much more!

I love visiting the farmers' market. It is much more that produce. It is a link between the people who grow the food and the people who eat it. It is a place where we can experience the seasons and the traditions of local agriculture.

After thinking about it for two years, I finally decided to buy a basket. It cost $55 even. I'll show it to you in another article.
