A sorority sister surprised me this Sunday afternoon, so I opened a bottle of wine, with pretzels and a creamy garlic dip which I bought from the Honey Festival.
She suggested that we call our other sorority sister to join us, which she did. I said that I might as well throw something on the grill, like corn. So I fired up the grill.
My phone rang, and it was another sorority sister, and she said she was coming with her hubby, and the kids. Apparently, she got a call from Trinky! "Why, YES of course!!" was my reply. So I put on some meat in the grill, because I know they love meat.
In my mind, my sorority sister will surely be coming too, so I got the Instant Pot, and got it going with broth and vegetables. And true enough she and her husband and kids were coming. She said she was bringing pancit! She is married to a Filipino-American.
I then called I Love Sushi in Davis and ordered sushi. I also put some Tempura Shrimp (which I always have) in the oven.
Seeing that we need it, I threw in more veggies... a plain Spinach Salad with Balsamic Vinegar and oil dressing.
