This silver round was minted for Manfra, Tordella & Brooks (MTB) a NY bullion bank. It is a rare vintage Silver Round with Beautiful Natural Patina of .999+ Fine Silver. the silver round has major toning and has a proof -like finish.
The reverse shows a Portrait Of Lady Liberty's Torch in the center, surrounded by the word "LIBERTY" In 19 languages. It is one of the rare,vintage multi-lingual SOL designs.
The obverse shows Lady Liberty portrait inscribed with Centennial 1886-1986.
MTB ordered for a number of coins to be struck in celebrate of the Statue of Liberty's 100th birthday. Johnson Matthey, Engelhard, and Casa de Moneda worked together on this series. Johnson Matthey minted the initial Rounds for this series in 1985, while Engelhard and Casa de Moneda minted the Rounds in 1986.
