It doesn't matter how long you have been studying a particular market. There is always someone who knows something you don't. It's important to stay humble and be able to ask for help. At ANY time!
I came across a silver ingot today that I am not familar with. The ingot demonstrates a unique hallmark with three letters inside of it. The fact that it is a 1oz poured loaf. Making it different then your typical 1oz. Which is normally in a pressed variety.
KML are the three letters stamped inside the hallmark. The hallmark itself looks like a type of pouring tool used to pour melted silver into a mold. Known as a crucible. You will notice a narrowing at the mouth on the top left side of the tool. Which is why I assume it is a crucible.
I also want to share an ingot and hallmark that has a very similar hallmark. Simmons Refining Company based out of Chicago, Illinois. They produced these ingots in the 1960s-70s.
The hallmark is the major similarity. You will also notice the long and thin shape. That is accompanied by the rounded ends.
