Afternoon everyone…..
While watching Sunday night football with the volume off, me and a bunch of old friends did a zoom call last night.
It had been a while since we had done one with the whole group. You know how things come up in life, so it was nice to have everyone on the call.
Two of my old close friends are in the investment world. So after all of the catching up the conversations usually hit sports and then money. My buddy Roger is the one that sends me all the podcast invites that I have written about through the years.
All of us have money invested in some way, but most of us have gold, silver and crypto. We do have one friend that thinks crypto is nothing but a scam…. No I am not going down that rabbit hole. We have tried to enlighten him, but it has never worked yet.
Roger always comes up with a hypothetical question at some point during the call. Typically it’s to start mayhem on the call. He likes getting our buddy Scott all riled up. Scott is the one that think crypto is a scam.
But last nights question was more of a….
Which one would you take???
So this is how Roger phrased the question. If you had $10,000 laying around to buy Bitcoin, gold or silver which one would you buy and why?
It can’t be any other crypto but Bitcoin, and the gold and silver are physical bars or coins you take possession of. I think Roger included Bitcoin just to piss Scott off but I’m not 100% sure.
Usually once the question comes out a bunch of them start talking over each other until Roger takes over and goes person by person as they appear on his screen. It’s pretty comical and is the norm for us.
He usually does everyone else before me and John the other investment guy, then he ends it with his answer.
I pretty surprised that nearly everyone in the chat chose silver. Even John and Roger chose silver as their investment. The main reasoning is that it has the biggest upside out of everything at the moment. Only one of our friends chose Bitcoin. His reason was that he didn’t own any Bitcoin, so if it’s $10,000 I’m not gonna miss then I’ll put it in Bitcoin.
So my question to you is. Which one would you buy????
