Two days ago I did a second installment of “What’s the Grade”. Which seems to have a nice interest.
The coin was an Indian Cent from 1874 and is graded by NGC.

I was unable to find an Indian Cent grading chart, so I’m going to use this MS63 graded Indian cent to explain the wear spots.
I have circled the tassel of the head dress of the coin. As you can see in the picture there are three diamonds on it. This is the high point of the coin. If you cannot make out the three diamonds the coin is not mint state.
Unless the coin is a key date to the series, anything below mint state is not really valuable to collectors.
Now there is technically a tie in winners. @cve3 submitted an entry of AU555 and @summertooth made a grade of MS60. Both are one grade off. The coin shown is an AU58, the next closest grade in AU is AU55, the very first grade higher is MS60. So there is a tie.
