Afternoon everyone…..

Well, well, well. I’ve been pondering many things over the last several months in regards to my business, my stacking, my crypto portfolio and my retirement.

After three different approvals and twenty one months of waiting. The state finally gave me my last approval in order to have my shop built on my property.

I already have over twenty seven thousand dollars into this project and I still haven’t dug a shovel of dirt yet for it. Between the three different surveys required, getting the zoning from the town, having blueprints drawn up, having to hire an engineer to submit for state approval and all the fees the state charges just to look at your submissions. Yep, that all equals over twenty seven thousand dollars.

I have had three different contractors look at the job so far. Only one has given me a price as of this post. That estimate in my opinion was extremely high. They wanted $99,600 to build my shop. I’ve done some pricing on the materials for this job and that’s extremely high in my professional opinion. I know the scope of the work that needs to be done, and could even do the work myself. (Well if I had more hands then just mine).

The shop is a freestanding slab based three car garage in size. The total dimensions are 26’ wide by 36’ long, with one roll up door, one man door, and two windows. In my professional opinion the job should cost between 60-70K and in my eyes 70K was on the high side.

Obviously I’m still waiting on more estimates still. But I’m thinking about how many more years my body can take this kind of abuse.

More to come on this topic….

Now onto my stacking. While I’m quite happy with the amount of silver that I have, I’m way behind on where I’d like to be with gold. Since saving up for gold is much harder for me it’s been a battle for years now. I don’t get paid every week or every other week like most do with a job. I get paid when jobs get done that’s it. I figure out what bills have to get paid, and what bills will be coming in before the next job gets completed. It’s not an easy task, but I’ve gotten used to it now. So my only option is to it for the gold to silver ratio to drop into the low 70’s then convert some of my silver to gold.

The days of me stacking for pure weight of silver are over.

That’s a ten ounce Sunshine Mint bar in its original plastic. In case you didn’t know the Sunshine Mint supplies all the silver blanks to the US Ming to produce the American Silver Eagle.

Now for crypto….

I know a bull run in around the corner. So this is the area of focus for me as of now. While I’m not going to stop buying metals if I see something that grabs me. My main focus is to get more money into crypto.

As for retirement, I was smart early in my life and started a self funded 401K for myself through the business. I’ve been putting a set amount into it for over twenty years now. On really good years I would add a profit sharing from the business directly to this account as well. That hasn’t happened though in several years now.

I have many things to still consider, but one thing I know I’m going to be doing is adding to my crypto portfolio…..
