Afternoon everyone……
Last night we had complete white out conditions. We had two inches or more of snow coming down per hour and the winds were swirling like crazy. The stuff coming down was very wet, very heavy and adding up really quickly.
I heard the plows go down my road around 2:30am. I was waiting for their second pass to come through before starting to shovel. That didn’t happen until around 7:45 this morning.
Once they were done, I grabbed my shovel and snow broom and went at it. But first I needed the measurement. I checked in three different spots to be as accurate as possible. At that time we already had 22” on the ground and it was still snowing.
The end of my driveway was another story completely!!!!!!!!! They plowed it in really bad and really high. I was using a yard stick to measure and the bottom didn’t touch, so I kept pushing. Lost my entire hand past my wrist. So I’d say that was rough 42” or slightly above that.
It took me nearly three hours to shovel out. My passenger side wipe blade snapped off when I went to lift it. 🤬
I’m done with winter, and anything to do with snow.
Here’s a piece of silver for reading this far…
