Afternoon everyone….
As I’ve said several times over the last few weeks it’s been overly busy for me work wise and personal wise.
I was told by my girlfriend on Monday that we were doing date night Friday and it wasn’t up for discussion.
So…..
Yesterday being Friday that meant I had to call it quits at a reasonable time. Which I did, but unfortunately it was a disastrous mess out. Rain was coming down hard and there was tons of wind, which meant accidents on the highways of course.
I left the job site at 4:05pm, the ride to my girlfriends should’ve been about 25 minutes.
Well….
That ride turned into 90 minutes. I grabbed a quick shower, and off we went. We had a reservation for 6:45 somewhere which I was not told where. That meant very little time to eat something prior to this surprise reservation.
On the way to this secret place, we stopped and got ourselves a grandmas pizza pie. If you don’t know what that is. It’s a square thin crust pizza, made in a pan like your grandma made as a kid. It’s topped with crushed tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and sprinkled with fresh basil at the end. And yes it’s fantastic!!!!
We pull into this industrial area, and I’m like where the fcuk are we going…. My girlfriend pulls into a lot and parks. I still have no clue where we are.
As we approached the building this was the sign out front.
We are ax throwing….
I don’t know if you’ve every heard of this style place or even have one near you. It’s a place with stalls that you throw real hatchets at targets and play games that are projected onto the wooded wall.
I’ve thrown just about any weapon you can think of, but have never been to this kind of place before. If you happen to have one near you, it’s a really fun time.
The first game my girlfriend set up was a ten round one throw game. Needless to say I did pretty good right from the start.

My girlfriend was breaking my chops because I was getting really good at it. She put up this zombie game to try and change up my throws. Well that back fired. The very first throw BAM….
We played several games of this, then went to game “21”. If you look at the target the scoring is 6,4,3,2,1. I started calling my shots…🤣🤣🤣 My girlfriend was laughing because I was hitting pretty much all of them. I even had a perfect four throw game of “21”.
It was tons of fun, we had a blast. My girlfriend did very well as well. She has gone before with a bunch of her friends.
Afterwards we went to a local creamery for handmade ice cream. We each got a waffle cone hers with cookies and cream, mine was butter pecan. Both were fantastic.
