Afternoon everyone …
I have mentioned several times in the last week or so. That my daughter was having her thyroid taken out.
They tried for months to correct the issue with medication to fix the issue. Unfortunately but probably fortunate with what I just found out.
My daughter had a follow up visit with her doctor this morning. She was also getting her stitches removed.
Well…
When they were doing surgery, they noticed a nodule between her larynx and her thyroid. They snipped a piece off and sent it for testing.
She found out this morning that it is cancer. The nodule is 1.8cm big.
Her oncologist wants to implant radioactive seeds instead of doing chemo.
Her appointment is April 11th.
