Afternoon everyone…

Today you get to feast your eyes on an awesome one ounce silver medal. I came across this one while sorting through my recent box of goodies from my private security place.

It’s a 2017 Chiwoo Cheonwang Medal. This series started in 2016, and somewhere in one of my boxes that medal resides.

But until then….

This is the second release of the successful South Korean medal bullion series.
Minted at KOMSCO, the mint of South Korea, with a limited mintage of 50,000.
Obverse: Shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang above latent security feature and KOMSCO logo, surrounded by date, fineness, denomination and Republic of Korea.
Reverse: Depiction of Chiwoo Cheonwang in military dress with spear and shield approaching on a horse.

You can still find these every now and then popping up with on line dealers, or snag one on eBay. You can expect to pay over $70 for it though.

This is a great series and the Komsco Mint does a great job on them.
