In yesterdays post I touched on a few refiner/mints that have gone away. One of those that filed for bankruptcy is Republic Metals Corp.
The reason for them going bankrupt was not divulged in the several articles I read on it. So my guess is that it wasn’t a shady deal or criminal offense.
Here is a Buffalo round which was produced by them. I’ve had it for years now. Just about every Mint out there produces Buffalo rounds, so it’s a common design.
It’s also the first football Sunday of the year. I’m hoping to catch some of the games at some point.
