Afternoon everyone….
I thought I’d do something a little different today. I’ve been sorting through my constitutional silver “junk silver”. I’m in consolidation mode.
Basically I’ve changed the way I am now looking at stacking and collecting. In the past few months I have sold off many semi numismatic coins and series. No more kookaburras, or koalas, pandas and several others.
Why???
I have tested the waters on these coins for liquidation purposes, and was extremely disappointed with the outcome. Nearly ever semi numismatic coin that I brought was only offered spot silver price.
I did not just go to one place. I even drove directly into New York City and walked into Bullion Exchange. They are a top precious metals dealer, both on line and in store. The place was very busy when I walked in.
They have an entire closed off back area where you show them your stuff and they look, appraise and make an offer.
After going through that pain and anguish, finding out that I’ve been collecting series that I really only bought for selling at a higher price we’re not going to get it. I’ve changed my position.
No I didn’t sell it to them….
But they are pretty much all sold and gone. I do have some that I’m still going through. Once that is done, I will be a straight numismatic coin/silver weight .999 stacker.
