Life insurance is a joke, an unfunny one at that.

I already had mine for a few years and never used it much, just an exam here or there, so I'm sure the bastards behind it loved to have me as a client.

But they don't love me anymore it seems, since now that I need surgery they want to have me butchered so they can save up a bit of money. You might think I'm being dramatic, but I'm not.

They refused to pay for a bone scalpel since the worthless piece of shit of a doctor said a saw would be enough, and so would a chainsaw but both face the same issue of cutting way more than it is needed.

Ok, I will admit the chainsaw thing is a bit dramatic, the saw that their "doctor" wants my surgeon to use is quite smaller than that, it kinda looks like a handheld drill you would use around your house.

And different from the bone scalpel my surgeon wants it can cut way more than just bone, did I mention they will be cutting near my knee? No? Well, I did.

Another wonderful thing about the "good enough" tool my health insurance is trying to force on me is that it can only perform straight cuts, which means cutting off a square or rectangle of my bone.

Yep, four new wonderful stress points ready to be fractured, but wait, it gets worse.

They rather have me cut open twice since according to the quack they hired to save pennies, the "gold standard" is to cut off another nice big square of bone from somewhere else in my body, instead of using bioactive glass.

Yep, they double the chances of further complications, which in turn would increase the costs of my treatments instead of just paying for what was recommended.

The last big joke is that what they are offering is exactly what I would get if I went to a public hospital, funny right?
