Dear Hivers,
I am sure everyone is aware of the current issue: You can’t upload images on Hive right now.
But this is temporary.
In fact, I wanted to show you how the error looks like — and I can’t.
Because, you know, I can’t upload the image.
You know how it feels?
Like going back to the stone age – and writing on a rigid rock located on the top of the mountain. And it is quite sunny here!
You can certainly visualize that, isn't it? Perhaps that's the challenge we have to get used to – to describe everything in words.
Few Smart Tips That Failed
Having written over 3000 articles with image(s) attached to almost every single one — this no-image feeling is a bit refreshing as well. I don’t have to worry about selecting, creating, or uploading images anymore.
A part of me wanted to try out a couple of new things.
Because I started writing the next part the Devotion series, I wanted to upload the images to an external website. And so I tried a couple of websites:
- Imgur
- Google Photos
- Pasteboard
- Imgbb
Once uploaded, I pasted the link here. And the result? The image was still broken.
On further research, I discovered the Hive interface fails to show the image. You can upload it anywhere you want — it doesn’t matter. Almost feels like Covid-19 virus – the issue stays (ugh).
What Can Be Done
Of course, this is a temporary issue.
What I can do is link to the image. For example: If there’s something important you want to write, simply hyper link it.
Examples:
Here is the image error: Click Here

Then, when things are back to normal, you can upload the image on Hive.
Over to you: How does the issue make you feel? What are you doing right now? Perhaps it does feel like the right time to engage. :)
