For some days now, I have been curious about trying the MOBA game known as Pokemon unite. I'm not very familiar with this game genre in general with the last type of this genre I played being Brawl stars, and that was a long time ago plus I didn't play it for long.

But I've been playing this game for a while now and I wanted to share my experiences and some gameplay as a MOBA newbie.

Basically, how a game of Pokemon unite works is that you play in a team of five against five other opponents and compete by trying to score the most points in the opposing team's goal zones. The way to get points to score with is by defeating wild Pokemon that spawn on the map.

Normally, I use Charizard a lot of the time. I wanted to try using a different Pokemon this time.

There are different Pokemon that you are able to play as (I don't know how many exactly) and each of them have different roles which are all-rounder, attacker, defender, speedster and support.

I usually play as an all-rounder, speedster and sometimes attacker. Nothing against defense or support, but I feel like I would mess up badly if I ever played those roles.

Another thing I noticed is that each Pokemon has different handling difficulties. Some have moves that are easier to use, while some have more trickier moves.

At least that's why I think there are difficulty ratings for each Pokemon (Around the top left corner)

The game also has a ranked game mode with the ranks beginner, great, expert, veteran, ultra and master with different classes from 5 to 1 (Except for master). Currently, my rank is at veteran class 4 with my all time highest being ultra class 5.

And since I started playing this game, I've played 630 games in total with a win rate of 50.5 percent.

Knowing myself, that win rate will definitely drop in the future 😅

One thing I did notice in the game is that grinding for the game's currency (Aeos coins and tickets) is extremely slow. Unless you are purchasing the coins and tickets with Aeos gems (The premium currency that can only be gotten using actual money), getting money in the game is pretty difficult and is a serious grind as a free to play player. The Aeos tickets aren't much of a problem, but it's getting the Aeos coins that is more difficult.

Getting a new Pokemon from the store costs about 10,000 Aeos coins on average and could take several days to get that amount of coins, unless there is a special event going on where they give you a pretty good amount of coins.

It's not that much of a problem for me to get a new Pokemon now though, since I've managed to get about 25 different Pokemon in the game. Plus I always end up using like 5 or 6 of them most of the time.

Well, that was a short note on what I found to be slightly annoying in the game. Other than that, I've been enjoying the game.

Here is some epik gameplay of me playing the game:

It took me 4 different games before I could get this win 😅

As always, thanks so much for reading and see you next time :)

By the way, Absol should be banned from this game
