Udaipur is a city in Rajasthan, also knows as Venice of India. Though it is also known as City of lakes. City has 5 lakes all of them man made. Some as big as 2 hectares. Main is lake Pichola and.
Because of extensive use of white marble in its architecture, it is also called white city. This city was historically ruled by the Lord Ek lingi ji, who are synonym to lord shiva and current king ( ceremoniously) are called custodian of the throne.

This city is also famous for being the top city for destination weddings and lavish hotels. There are palace hotels which cost more than 3 million INR to stay for a night in a suite.
But apart from all the lavishness, it is also de-facto city to have a cup of coffee on waterfront. Here are couple of pictures from my trip to Udaipur.

Sun rise from iconic UDAI KOTHI.
Udai kothi is a 40 years hotel, it use to be residence of a courtier of the yesteryear king, but it was one of the first Hotel certified of heritage status. It is a beautiful hotel.

There is a small cafe called cafe Boho, in udaipur near by Gangaur ghat. It is amazing its good for lunches and sunsets.
You should travel to this beautiful city once the travel restriction open up. Its my fav city to go to to have some amazing coffee and read a book.

Till next time,
cheers
Sid
