Who ever came up with block scheduling in high school probably didn't graduate from high school. My school went to block scheduling after the Christmas Break.
I am sure that some peolple are not familiar with block scheduling, to sum it up, class times are longer (1 hour 45 minutes) and you do not go to the same classes everyday. Very confusing at first. One thing that I already see that I do not like is the time frames. I can see the attention from the students dropping way off after about an hour and 15 minutes.
Now the second thing I have noticed and not liked is the lunch time. See before block scheduling we had 23 minutes for lunch. Now we have 17 minutes??? I am not sure I can probably prepare myself and chew the way its safe in 17 minutes. Someone is gonna choke!!!
Well we're stuck with it now, but this is crazy!!! Three days in and I haven't finish a lunch yet. My nutritional content is failing, lets hope the grades don't.
