Well they eat coffee cherries and poop out the seeds as coffee beans. So if they find bags of coffee beans, to them it is just bags of poop. No wonder they are running amuck. They think they're in a poop factory!
As for the fires, I'll do my best to avoid them. About three years ago I had to drive through a lot of smoke for a couple hundred miles during the Oregon wildfires.
