Humor too crude? I thought it was funny. Even though this chapter has gone way over-time, I had to include this panel. Man, we still need to get everyone off this island and back to their comfy air-conditioned mansion.
AC is on my mind because we just finished a high-heat advisory here in Napa. I think the heat capped at 92F yesterday (33.3C for those of you that use metrics).
It is fun to paint lava. I just used a water color brush on a separate "add glow" layer and painted with orange. And I just realized that "lava" rhymes with "java," so now their needs to be a spin-off series about a chunk of sentient magma that models itself off of Java Jaguar and becomes "Lava Java."
Last thing, sorry about the length of the timelapse video. I usually have the default time for the video set to 15 seconds in Clip Studio, but for some reason this one exported at over a minute. I think, because the last time I used CS was when I made the last Java strip. And because that was mostly cut and pasted, the exported timelapse video was 11 seconds at "full length," so the settings moved back to "full length" as the default. I just need to remember to change that back when I do the video for tomorrow's panel. Unless you prefer the "slow burn" video. Get it? Slow burn? Because she's covered with lava? Man, I am on fire today!
