Had fun with this. So much fun that I had to dub Flash Gordon by Queen over the timelapse video.
As it turns out, in the comic books, Flash Gordon was not a football quarterback for the NY Jets. He was a Yale graduate and polo player. I know this may be difficult to accept for those of you in the States here that only know him from the 1980 movie. Speaking of 1980 movie, the clothes he is wearing are from the movie rather than from the comic books, so that's my concession.
I suppose technically, since I'm using his image from the movie, this panel actually would violate copyright law since Flash Gordon from the comic books (and maybe novels) is a public domain character but 1980 movie Flash Gordon is not.
I'm not going to sweat it. I don't think anyone is waiting to pounce on me and sue me for using 1980 movie Flash Gordon's likeness in my webcomic.
Which reminds me, Flash Gordon by Queen is used without permission in the video below...
