When I get tired of drawing black lines and coloring them I like to draw with chalks or pastels. Well.... VIRTUAL chalks and pastels, I'm still using Clip Studio Paint Pro for this. Back in my old art school days at the University of Hawaii one of my favorite mediums was Conte Crayon. Conte Crayons are similar to chalk pastels but firmer. Also, they only come in three colors: Black, white, and sanguine.
So for this, just started with a neutral gray tone for the paper surface, then made some big swaths with the sanguine. Then just deepened and highlighted contours with the black and white. Much easier drawing electronically, and no messy clean up.
