See? There is a clear motive to this attack and it has nothing to do with Communist Super-Soldiers. Just a good old-fashioned "you stole my job so I'm going to physically assault you in public but it's cool because we are both superheroines." Also, how would the cops, or God forbid, campus security, bust up this dust up?
I'd have to check my notes, but this might be the first time someone blocked a punch in this comic. Even after Sheena dissed Phantom Lady for not blocking a single punch when Miss Fury whupped her.... Sheena never blocked a single punch when she fought Miss Fury later.
Since I publish one frame a day, I guess I feel the need to always draw the big action snapshots. Like someone landing the big knockout/knockback punch or getting a knee to the face. I guess the "block" panel is a good chance for both combatants to talk to the camera. Usually, only the one punching gets to talk while the other one just makes a gritting teeth face.
I am scheduling posts for today and tomorrow early since I will be on the road between the coast and Portland tomorrow, and won't be back until Wednesday afternoon. So replies to comments will be delayed.
