This weekend we will have a mouthwatering match up. Canelo vs GGG, the fight that people thought wouldn't happen after Canelo refused to fight GGG at the middleweight limit. It is a genuine 50 50 fight. Either man can win. Canelo used to be a big underdog against ggg, now however, he is only a small underdog. This really could be a close fight, and the winner would be who can execute the gameplan better.
For GGG to win he has to
Establish the jab. Jab allows you to control your opponents. A good jab makes your opponents not sure when attacking as it can be followed up with a power shot that they might not expect.
Back canelo up, cut the ring off with his jab and long range punches carefully.
At times make Canelo come forward and see how that goes.
Let Canelo feel his power and see how he would react. Canelo has not fought a real middleweight, let alone a middleweight puncher. He has never been hit by someone with GGG's power.
Be careful of wasting punches, land punches that are hard to see coming (which, GGG is pretty good at).
Avoid inside fighting.
Use footwork more often and move around. Canelo might not expect GGG to more around more.

Canelo has more tools in the box. He is more experienced in the Pro, with more professional fights and against better competition. He however hasn't faced many middleweights. With this in mind here is some of Canelo's keys to victory:
Take away GGG's offence by counterpunching. Particularly the jab. If Canelo prevents GGG from establishing the jab by slipping to his right and coming up with a over the top right hand, then he has a huge advantage.
Counter to the body too. Bodyshots can reveal weaknesses in fighters and Canelo is able to counter to the body very well.
Get on the inside and let go combinations. Canelo is a much better fighter on the inside with decieving hard fast punches and slick head and upper body movement. Kell Brook in my opinion hurt GGG a little bit with an uppercut. Canelo can land harder uppercuts and follow up with more punches.
Canelo even though he is a better fighter on the back foot, but he is better at coming forward than GGG is at going backwards. Canelo might need to back GGG up with hard combinations.
Canelo has to hit GGG hard early and display his skills, to let him know it is different. He must have a fight defence throughout.
