Maggie was born on a sunny day
Her parent’s two young adults waited for her arrival with mixed feelings
They were excited and worried bit overwhelmed
They got married to build a family
Maggie was beautiful when she was born, pure joy
Everyone loved her
Little girl sent from God, so small
But Maggie’s mummy didn’t feel it
She felt nothing at all
She thought she will get used to the baby
But instead it made her nervous
Unsteady
She knew she didn’t love Maggie
Her mind played tricks on her
Gave her ideas she knew were wrong
But somehow it made her strong
She didn’t like her new life she felt trapped
She lost her freedom, and she didn’t like that
From that day she searched for someone to blame, and she knew sooner or later something had to change
She didn’t want to be Maggie’s mother any more, she realised having Maggie was wrong
On the day of return she was calm, collected
She felt in control, she liked having that feeling once more
She didn’t feel sad or afraid, that was to her quite strange
Even all the events of that day didn’t shake her, didn’t make her cry
That was something she didn’t understand
Later on when she realised what she has done
She didn’t let it overpower her, make her scared
She just buried those feelings with Maggie in her grave.
