We, the psychology student did a mini experiment entitled "ex-sight-ed".If there a significance difference between Foreign and Filipino students in perceiving the lightness and darkness of an image.

*What provides organisms vision? Eyes. It is the organ of the visual system and it's the reason why we are able to process visual details as well as enabling several photo response function that are independent of vision. Eyes detect light and is very sensitive to it thus it's connected into the neurons of the brain via electron- chemical impulses
Human eyes help provide a three dimensional, moving image, normally colored in daylight. Rod and cone cells in retina allow conscious light perception and vision including color differentiation and the perception of depth. They are also responsible for the ability of eyes to adopt from the bright light to dim light. Cone cells are responsible for color vision and functions best in relatively bright light as oppose to rod cells which works better in dim light.
In this experiment , we would like to observe if there is a difference between Foreign and Filipino college students of Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation and how their eyes perceive upon the changes of an image specifically in the measure of lightness and darkness.

The material needed is laptop . The measurements of the descending variables are 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10%. And the ascending variables are 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, and 100% respectively. The standard stimulus is 50% .

Procedure:
Step 1: The stimulus (sv) was prepared.
Step 2: The experimenters chose 10 participants randomly consisting of 5 Foreign and 5 Filipino students.
Step 3: Each participants entered the room one at a time. The experimenter oriented and gave the instruction to the participants.
Step 4: The experimenter will show the participant the image with the different levels of lightness and darkness.
Step 5: The experimenters asked the participants if there is a change in the image.
Step 6: The experimenters wrote down the answer of the participants in the standard table.

Participants:
The participants were randomly selected based on convenience sampling. It consist of 10 students, 5 of them are Filipino and 5 Foreign students.

As the conclusion :
Vision begins in the eye which detect light and later on being interpret by the brain that gives us information.
As we gather the experiment, we aimed to know the difference between Foreign and Filipino students in perceiving the lightness and darkness of an image.
By the use of T-test we came up to a result wherein we accept the Ho (null hypothesis) and reject the Ha (alternative hypothesis) for it is less than the computed/critical value. Therefore, we conclude that there is no significant difference between Foreign and Filipino students in perceiving the lightness and darkness of an image.
Meaning no matter what your nationality is, it doesn't really count and it's not a factor of how the eyes perceive the changes in the lightness and darkness of an image.
