Musical instruments has really helped my music life.
Back then when I was very young, I used to imagine how musicians sing so well, I love music but then I don't have the voice, I had intrest and passion for music and so I said to myself that whatever it takes I must know music.

Therefore the journey began, I joined the children choir and I made sure I take it very serious, sometimes i was opportuned to lead the choir, with this I was progressing musically...
After my secondary education I started attending guitar class, then I can say categorically that I started understanding music, the guitar opened my eyes to so many things in music.
Before I started learning, I don't know there's anything called solfa notation, it was when I started learning guitar that I get to know what its all about.
I also learnt harmonization, I do hear people harmonize but I don't have the idea how it's being formed or created, I thought it was magic because I have tried to understand the logic behind it but all my efforts was to no avail but with the knowledge of the guitar I now understand the theory and practical of harmonization.
one other thing I learn through guitar is how to sing in key and also according with the beat of songs. Before I just sing anyhow moving from one key to another without even knowing that am changing key unconsciously.
I could remember sometime when my boss told me to sing and he record my performance after singing he played the recording for me to hear and then he made me realize that I had switched key almost four times unconsciously within 10 minutes of singing.
So he lecture me again on taking note of the key in which I'm singing and maintaining it and if at all there would be modulation it has to be done professionally.
Learning the guitar has really improved my music life. And am so glad that I had learnt how to play the guitar. Music is life.
