Hello hivians,
The smile on my face is not just an ordinary one, the smile is what I tag "harvest smile"馃槂馃槂 yeah it's a win win for me today and also this week as I'll soon be uploading the harvest I made in my cassava farm. Stay tuned...
Today I'll be showing you guys the little harvest I made in my melon farm... (Here in Nigeria it's popularly known as Egusi)
in less than four months that I had plant my melon, today is the day I chose to harvest.
The time of harvest is a happy time for every Farmer, as it's the time to reap the reward of one's labour.
As I have posted in my previous post that I am a teacher posted to a rural area... so, I made the best use of the opportunity I have to quickly invest and dive into farming. And ever since I started, I have been enjoying my stay over here and also my little farm.
Special thanks to my students who help me in the harvesting process... The school would close for the term on Friday (29/07/2022) so I quickly seize the opportunity to plead to them so they could join me to harvest.
I could remember it's just like yesterday that I did the planting and now am harvesting... You need to see the smile on my face right now.
We use cutlass to break it into two and after that we place the open surface on the ground in order to make the melon come out of It's shell freely through heat and also placing the open surface on the ground would help to prevent our melon from pest like birds...
Hopefully in a week time, my melon should be ready.馃槂
Once again am happy to tell you that Agriculture is life. Invest!
Thanks for visiting my blog once again, see you next time.
