Recently, the genius by my side is working really long hours. It's sometimes hard during the day to day life, when you just want him to be home, to remember how important his job is. And then he comes home and share the stories about his day and you realise how much it's all worth it.
The genius, a.k.a. Daniel, is making cyborgs :D But to be more specific, he's helping people walk. And not only walk, but walk stably, fluently, safely.
People who otherwise, won't have this possibility.
And it's pretty incredible to see the things that he's developed!
And so today, I simply have to show off a little bit, as I am so proud to be his Mrs. _
I cannot show you, unfortunatelly, the product that is currently in development, so I would like to share the previous product that kept him so many hours at work, the Kenevo leg.
The Kenevo leg, on which he was the software project leader, is a pecial prosthesis for people with lower mobility, who are over-the-knee amputees. It is specifically designed for keeping them as safe as possible, as in their physical state, they have more tendencies to fall. It is lighter and have special safety features, it's probably the most reliable micro processor controled prosthesis, with that giving them a new life quality. And that is so cool!
Kenevo is the first and only microprocessor-controlled knee (MPK) designed specifically for the needs of moderately active persons. It is the first MPK to provide both the stability and flexibility required to support individuals as they become more active or require more assistance.
Seeing real people using the products he has worked on, is an overwhelming feeling.
And it's totally worth all of the long hours and the tiredness!
