In Maharashtra, there is a special type of chicken breed called 'Kadaknath'. This hen is completely black in color and also the eggs, blood, and flesh of this hen are black. This chicken breed is originally from tribal areas in Madhya Pradesh but now it is gaining popularity in Maharashtra. It is said that the flesh of this chicken is medicinal and extremely delicious. The cost of this chicken is very high it is sold at Rs. 1000-1200/Kg and it has a big demand in other countries also. This poultry farming does not require any special requirement and is done in the same way as the other hens. 'Kadaknath' is helping the small farmers and businessmen to gain financial stability in Maharashtra.
