When I looked around my studio for another journal to crack open, I spied this one which was a gift from my business coach a few years back. I already knew what was in it before I turned a single page. Or at least I thought I did. And yet turn the pages I did.

As soon as you open the cover there scrawled in blue are the words,

"2018 Business Planning Adventure"

The look and feel

As I mentioned this was given to me by my business coach during late 2017 as part of a half-day planning session. I am not a girly-girl type person so this flowery cover would not have been something I would have selected for myself. However, after all these years, I've sort of grown fond of it. It's pleasing to look at and the leather feels so good in my hands. Different than the other journals. It has a sort of softness that I can't really explain well. Take my word for it when I say that this journal feels (and looks) good.

What's in it?

The first thirteen pages are notes and plans from that session with my business coach. Then some business strategy lists and ideas then surprisingly something from earlier this year. I don't remember using this journal to plan out a project from March and April, but as I look at the notes scribbled and outlines on four pages I know for a fact these plans became a reality.

Then there are plenty of blank pages before I see some teal ink with aspirational thoughts I wrote using the pen and ink set I mentioned on my fifth post which can be read here -> link

Seeing that teal ink tells me that I did take that box of inks out for a test drive. This would have been a few years back. And then that's it. There are plenty of blank pages between what I found and an entire 1/2 of the journal after the ink scribblings.

What happens next?

We are at the tail end of another year and I do believe I will use this journal to make some plans for 2022.
