Summers in Texas are typically brutal. However, this year we have had a wonderfully mild summer. We have not hit triple digits once! Which is a rare miracle.
These milder temps have made walking my neighborhood a much more pleasant experience. August in any given year = brown grass, trees, and plants stressed due to heat. Not this year. Nature is green and fresh-looking.

This beautiful shrubbery garden is so colorful and lush. This is the type of growth we would normally see only in the Spring, yet here we are in late August and it's as vibrant as ever. This year's mild summer has been a wonderful change compared to past seasons. The question I'm wondering is will we pay for this unseasonable weather come winter? Only time will tell.
