Hola amigos de Hive, el día de hoy les traigo un nuevo dibujo de Ice Pixie para el concurso semanal de Splinterlands.

Estuve fuera de la plataforma un par de meses atendiendo la universidad pero estoy de vuelta y espero compartirles nuevamente mis trabajos.

Más que traer entradas para el concurso mi interés principal sigue siendo aprender las mecanicas del juego. Aún no le agarro el truco del todo, pero me mantengo leyendo sobre los personajes y el valor de las cartas. Revisando el mazo encontré la carta de Ice Pixie y decidí dibujarla porque me recordó a Cirno de Touhou, además de que me encantó su diseño y amo las hadas.

A continuación, adjuntaré el procedimiento del dibujo.

Hello friends of Hive, today I bring you a new drawing of Ice Pixie for the weekly Splinterlands contest.

I've been away from the platform for a couple of months because I was attending the university but I'm back and I hope to share my work with you again.

More than bringing entries for the contest my main interest is still learning the game mechanics. I'm still not into it, but I keep reading about the characters and the cards. Going through the deck I found the Ice Pixie card and decided to draw it because it reminded me of Cirno from Touhou plus I loved her design and I love fairies a lot.

I'll show the drawing process below.

Proceso 🌱 Process

Sketch

Empecé boceteando un poco como quería que luciera la pose, luego pasé a algunos detalles más caracteristicos del personaje como las orejas puntiagudas, alas y los cristales de hielo. Por último dibujé la ropa pero accidentalmente eliminé esa capa sin guardarla.

I started sketching a little bit how I wanted the pose to look like, then I moved on to some more characteristic details of the character like the pointed ears, wings and the ice crystals. Finally I drew the clothes but I accidentally removed that layer without saving it.

Lineart

Base Colors

Para los colores bases tomé colores de la carta original y les bajé un poco la saturación.

For the base colors I took colors from the original chart and lowered the saturation a bit.

Base Colors + Shading

Sombreé el personaje con tonos hacía los violetas y azul marino.

En cuanto a las luces usé una paleta color rosa, amarillo pastel y algo de blanco, el cual no suelo utilizar usualmente.

I shaded the character with violet and navy blue.

For lightning I used a palette of pink, pastel yellow and some white, which I don't usually use.

. Colored Lineart

Coloreé la capa del lineart con diversos colores extraídos del dibujo.

I colored the lineart layer with different colors taken from the drawing.

Background

Sigo sin ser muy buena a la hora de decidir qué hacer de fondo. Adjunto un paso a paso de lo que hice para esta ilustración. Agregué manchas en un par de capaz con el pincel para nubes y jugué con los efectos y las luces.

I'm still not very good at deciding what to do in the background. Attached is a step by step of what I did for this illustration. I added spots in a couple of able with the cloud brush and played with effects and lights.
