We made a Hair gel sensory bag for my preschooler's. A quick project to practice and develop our fine motor skills. We used a red color hair gel for the bag, But ideally it’s better to have it color less for a clearer picture.
A squish and squash to move our numbers and to feel the texture. We got our inspiration from pinterest, There are lots of amazing ideas you can get there.
Hair gel, any color
Marker
Scissor
Tape
Numbers
White blank paper
Pom - poms
Googly eyes
Yarn
Colored paper, cut in triangle shape
Paste
Plastic sheet
Cardboard
In the blank paper we draw eyebrows for our googly eyes. We paste the triangle shape that will serve as a cone for ice cream.
We put in the numbers, pom-poms, googly eyes, small yarn and the hair gel into the plastic sheet and sealed it.
Place the plastic sheet into the center of the cardboard and taped both sides and at the bottom, leaving the top.
Insert the blank paper on the top and it’s ready to squish and squash.
We had our numbers in order, Ice cream and smiley face.
We can also do it as a writing sensory pad by only using a hair gel or place letters for phonics and literacy. You can put anything you like.
Happy learning!
