Information will always be the difference between you and the next person. You may not realize it but your neighbor or friend has a greater advantage at getting what they want or reaching their goals because they know more than you do.
When you have more information, you can weigh your options and decide on what the best line of action is for you.
When you are in the pursuit of a relationship, I believe you should see past what you can get from that individual in terms of emotional and financial support and reach for pieces of information they may possess that could serve you much better in the long term.
People may gladly hand over their money if they have a few to spare, give you a bit of their time because at that point they are bored and could do with a bit of company and someone to converse with.
But color you surprise, if you go fishing for information and they will withhold it as though their lives depend on it because it does.
They won’t give it to you no matter how close you are or friendly. It takes a special kind of observatory nature to read in between the lines, peck into a piece of envelope containing information or overhear a phone call you were not supposed to just because you needed to use the rest room and they were having that conversion in their room or study with the door ajar.
Possibly you came upon that information while they were drunk and gladly gave it away hoping to God you weren’t paying much attention.
There is a reason special intelligence agencies plant people in certain sectors to gather information to help their individual countries. You do not necessarily have to be a part of the government or anything official to want access to information.
The more information you have, the more leverage you have. Those agencies go out of their way to gather those intels using any means necessary. This is to show you as much leverage is worth to anyone who holds the cards.
You can move from one financial position to another because of a piece of information. It is no wonder people are always hoping to hear about any company's upcoming IPO’s, going public or any scandalous news in order to predict how the market will move in favor or against the company.
With that information, you can either short or play the long game in the market.
This is not legal, I know. Just a mere example of how people leverage information to make investment decisions over time.
If information is so vital to move ahead of the competition or the next person. Why aren’t you sourcing for yours? Why are you keeping yourself locked up and not surrounded by people who might likely spill something you can use to your advantage?
You should play the game as everyone around you, if not, you will be left behind or used as the puppet in the ever unending game of power, wealth and influence.
Fish for information. You will be glad you did.
