Thought I would get this one in early as we have a busy day planting raspberries, Strawberries and all manner of food.
SOOOOO I just found out they have a vote here for crime minister, or as it is here, a president, the pres then elects his or her own crime minister, with no vote from the people on said crime minister.
That is about as much as I know or want to know about their political system.
And due to the plan-demic it is now voting via post, yes seriously.
The government changed yet another law 3 weeks or so ago, that anyone living in the countryside (like us) or anyone living anywhere really, that does not have a post box, will be fined. (I do not have one, nobody writes to me anyway)
So the gent who runs the metal supply shop locally was the person who informed my good lady. He also said he has none for sale, as the post office is the official place to buy them from, and they bought them all up.
So you have to buy one at over inflated prices from? You got it, the government via the post office!.
When I came here, only 5 short years ago, it seemed so laid back, so much freedom, so much cheaper than anywhere else. But tyranny knows no bounds does it?.
Now I am starting to question if this is the right place to raise children, and invest in land.
I am probably one more law away from selling up. Getting rid of my bikes, selling everything, slipping over the border to the Ukraine and disappearing off somewhere towards the warmer climate to the east.
How long can people put up with this? I have no idea, but it seems relentless, the push for fines, the shove it up your ass, and bend over further sir before I do.
If we consider how few people run the system, it amazes me so many, will bend for so few.
