" My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is Right-NKJV"
After Job came to terms with his failings, God raised the issue of their misrepresenting His nature and character. In fact, God was very angry at all of them for saying things that are not right about Him. While Job said God was elusive and unfair to hm in the time of his travails, his friends spoke of God as a vindictive and wicked person who revels in afflicting the sinners. None of their sayings were true about God. In fact, they blackmailed God as an indifferent, powerless, merciless and unloving character. God was so angry with Job's friend that He requested of them to offer animal sacrifice before they can be forgiven. (42:8-9).
God is not happy when we preach and teach things that are not true about Him and His kingdom as this gives wrong impression about Him before the world Job and his friends demonstrated total ignorance about God and human suffering. It would have just been good if Job's friends had accepted that they had no answer as to why the righteous suffer. In their response, they ended up saying what is not true about God's nature and character, so they incurred his wrath. God will hold us accountable for all we preach in His name. Apostle Paul in 1Timothy 4:16 told Timothy to take heed to himself and his doctrine. For in doing this, he will save himself and his hearers. Wrong doctrines are like poison, so be careful what you teach.
Paul further admonish teachers and preachers on how they would face a greater judgement. Wrong Teaching and doctrines spread and once believe, they become so hard to revise them. To these, as teachers of the word, let us teach what is true and to seek counsel to whatever doctrine we are not sure of. In Mathew 5:12-15. Jesus described us believers as the light and salt but further went on to say "If the salt no longer savor" then it is thrown and trampled. If our teachings and doctrines no longer carry light or contain it savor, then it abuse is inevitable.
Let's not be quick to see God as changing, His love and compassion is the same. We should not be quick to preach that God is unfaithful during hardship or trial. His love has never failed from generation to generation. Preach his faithfulness always and teach doctrines that are true.
