THE EVENT THAT HAPPENS ONCE IN A LIFETIME
I felt like having a wedding looking at how glamorous my friend looked in his wedding suit, being married is the last thought I have considered for the past five years but there I was wishing I was the man on the suit. I rarely take photos but I was prompt to take few shot from the wedding scene, first to recall this special event of my friend and the next was keep it maybe it could be my drive to yielding into mum's pressure to get a wife.
As much as I was happy for my friend, I also knew our friendship would fade gradually as much responsibility will call on him and may not be able to do the things we did together. This thought brought a mixed feeling of joy and sadness. There was something I noticed in the wedding venue, the number of persons that were in attendance were alarming, when an individual weds, he gains support from all sides. What's so special about it is what am yet to find out. I knew him to be a man of few friends but the population I noticed spake different of him. The wedding was simple but the personnel who came for the wedding were people of high position in the military, somehow it got me thinking if I really knew him as much as I claimed I do. The shots I took was not planned, but it's nice I did, so no preparation was carried out and that's why the pictures are not all clear.
I sat at the far end watching everything that took place and thoughts kept coming,on how people speaks beautifully of love and how two persons may decide to take risk settling with almost a total stranger, I have been in a relationship once and I knew how it felt coping with a woman's bad sides but in marriage, I knew I would have to adapt instead of coping. This wasn't the first wedding I have attended but somehow this got into me because he was my friend and I knew shortly people would start pressing on me to get married.
There is time for everything and I knew getting a wife now isn't it time. The smile on the groom face made me ask myself if she is already prepared enough for the vicissitudes found in homes, but then I knew it could be the joy of settling down with someone she so longed to spend her life with.
Men with Years of experience
Just outside the auditorium where the wedding took place were men and women who dressed in kaftans, and taking shots. I took a shot in the position when I saw they seem to speak one language of marriage and have experience on what it takes to be a married person. They enjoyed every bit of the event like they were initiating him into their cohorts of marriage-hood.
It all ended nicely, someday I would be the one in a suit as him.
