LOH Contest #308 La dama de la guadaña/The lady of the scythe [Esp-Eng]

English Version
It caught my attention when I read @geila's post about this new question space that opens its doors for us to participate in the LOH Contest #308. Questions that are very well suggested by our friend
@ifarmgirl, thank you very much for this new opportunity to explore such impactful topics and share about them in this beautiful Ladies of Hive community.
What disturbed me the most, in a good way, about these questions is the fact that just a week ago I was in a crowded place, full of people, and several of those people were acquaintances, but for some reason, there came a moment when I simply shut myself off from everyone, opened my notes app to write what I was feeling, and I wasn't in a very good mood. I created a few minutes of retrospect and self-reflection about this emotional state that prevailed and what that voice from within whispered and even shouted at me; and there she was, my inner critic. The initial result was negative, then I reflected more broadly on it.
In the screenshot you can see the date and time of my writing and self-perception. It is indeed how I felt then. But it turns out that writing the negative things my inner self can make me feel is not the only thing, it's just the first part of the process, that inner person told me in the final lines, and I think that's her favorite phrase when she wants to make me believe that: "I am a specter, a ghost of flesh and bones, a barely visible being who counts numerically in groups but doesn't count as a person." But recognizing that I don't feel well and that the voice inside me is negative is only a step toward what truly comes next.
When I can't take it anymore and dealing with my inner voice hurts, that hard moment when my inner critic speaks louder and I collapse, I can only ask God for help, cling to the promises He gives me in His word that I am not just anything or a wreck, I am as my Heavenly Father says:
"1 Peter 2:9: '...you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;'"
And so I cling to what the Bible says:
"Isaiah 41:10: 'Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'"
I imagine that my inner critic is without a doubt a cruel and petulant lady, negative most of the time although also challenging and sometimes she does take on some kindness to encourage me to achieve goals. But when she takes on a negative role she is heartbreaking, like a vile lady who carries a scythe to slash hard at the heart and snatch away my dreams. It's something like a coin that has two sides or a knife with two edges, very unstable at times or sometimes dangerously pleasant.
I know that inner voice can fail me, that it can crumble me and shatter me, and that is why even though I recognize the harm it sometimes does to me, I seek my way out in the One who always remains faithful and sustains me, my God, who helps me come out of that emotional crisis, silence that negative voice, tell that lady of the scythe that this time I won't listen to her, and get up, shake off the dust and return to the good path. A stumble is not an ending, a bad thought or a bad day does not define us, it depends on how much we let it affect us or whether we set out to get up and walk again.
And that's all for today, we'll read each other in the next one and in the comments 😎🫵🏻. I also take the opportunity to invite you to participate in the LOH Contest 308 by leaving here the link to the post where it's announced:
