WHO IS RESPONSIBLE ?
Today, we see too many irresponsible husbands, brothers who are wife beaters, brothers before whom their wives are dummies and dare not talk when they talk.
Brothers who cross their legs on the sofa while their wives cook, clean, go up and down, fetch water, care for the kids, wash, scrub and still has à job to meet up with!
Brothers who can't pack their own dishes, who won't even wash their own boxers !
Whaat ?! We tend to ask, what sort of a man is this ?
But believe me, the question should have rather been, what kind of a woman raised this ?!
When you're à mother who has drawn à very wide line between your boy and your girl child, who focuses more on home training the girl leaving the boy out, who looks on while the boy beats the girl, who makes the girl serve the boy while the boy says "mum I'm off to play football"!
Then, you're the one who's responsible for the plight of your girl child today.
You're the one who has refused to create that enabling atmosphere for your daughter to enjoy marriage !
Dear sisters, mothers ! Train the boy as much as you do the girl, don't put your daughters in future slavery in the hands of your sons. We shall be accountable for the future we build today. Don't look on while your son rottens out, don't raise à burden for another woman's daughter !
For every sweet Muslim home today, a wise Muslimah mom, has intelligently done her assignment yesterday. Be wise ummu.
