Steemit has grown exponentially over the past couple of months with new user accounts, we have seen the price of STEEM jump up in value. Not only has the user base grown but it has attracted major players from competitive social media platforms such as YouTube.
First of all, I’ll tell you my very quick story before I get into the discussion of what this post is about.
It’s been a little over a month for me here and I can see the potential that Steemit has, the benefits that I, as well as you, can gain from it and the attraction for people to switch over from the likes of Facebook & Reddit because of the money that they can earn through a simple comment on someone’s blog or even a blog of their own.
I’ve seen some examples of major players on YouTube, who I didn’t know of, and maybe some that I had heard of but didn’t pay too much attention to while I flicked through some YouTube videos.
Some of these major players, who have 100,000 subscribers, would find out through the social media grapevine about this wonder platform called Steemit, what they can achieve through it and the crazy money that they could earn just by creating an account.
Some of them will openly admit that they were sceptical about the platform and pass it off as a ‘get rich quick’ Ponzi scheme, but after some research and experimenting of their own with the platform, they quickly changed their minds when they saw some of their posts hitting hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Just 1 post.
In turn this made them sit up and talk about Steemit to their subscribers, some of them would sign up too, because they trusted that person whose blogs they read or videos that they watch religiously.
Those subscribers have been infected with the Steemit virus, a good virus of course, and that is one of the key reasons I believe this platform has exploded recently.
In fact it was through a popular YouTuber whose video that I watched, convinced me to look into Steemit as well, and combined with the attention that Bitcoin was getting at the time, I was trying to think of ways to maximise the highs of the Bitcoin run which smashed past each all-time high after all-time high.
It was through that 1 video that I thought to myself, I need to try and earn some money for my future because I had a few bad trades last year that it put me off trading, but that’s a story for another time.
I was a little down thinking about the mistakes I had made which potentially lost me a lot of money that I decided to pick myself up and look for the next big thing, which brought me here, over to the glorious Steemit platform.
Now this has got me thinking about the future of this platform, the current price of STEEM and the community in general.
I know Steemit is still in its infancy and there is a long, long way to go before it can challenge the likes of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram etc. but it had to start somewhere!
The fact that the popular people from other platforms are joining here in their numbers because they can see the potential of their posts earning them a small explosion from the very beginning of their Steemit Journey, makes me wonder what will happen if, or more likely when, a major celebrity is convinced to create an account here.
Someone with a huge Twitter following for example, someone with millions of followers who decides to do what the first big name celebrity done with Twitter (not sure who that was btw!) and create an account, here on this platform that we are all a part of just now, Steemit.
First of all they would see massive financial gains on their posts, which would help them to convince other big celebrities or sports stars over to the Steemit platform, which in turn, I think would snowball into something ## MASSIVE!
Not only these extremely famous people joining and earning rewards for their posts but they would also bring with them, a large following of their fans which in turn would push the price of STEEM up much, much higher than it is today.
It's time
That’s why I feel it is important to get in now, blog until your heart is content, post images of your hometown, share your drawings, talk about bitcoin, share your conspiracy theories, your jokes, memes, personal stories, ideas to improve Steemit and just whatever you want to post about.
There will be a following for you and soon enough, that following will be larger than you could ever expect when more users join. You have the benefit of taking advantage of this platform right now, because you, like I, are still classed as an early adopter.
Just wait until 100 million people have joined this platform, you will have earned so much STEEM that each could be worth $100 or more. On top of that you will have a major following with people just like you who want to talk about, well, whatever you talk about!
If there is a particular celebrity or sports star or just someone super famous that you would like to see here then let me know, I’m interested in hearing your thoughts about this and why you think that.
Is someone like Katy Perry something you would like to see? I know I would!
Justin Bieber?
I said join us at Steemit Justin!
Eminem?
Excellent, Marshall! Lots of people on Steemit enjoy cupcakes!
Arnold Schwarzenegger?
I knew I could count on you Arnold!
Lionel Messi?
I'll see you soon too Leo!
Donald Trump?
That's right Donald, it will be!
Or Kim Jong Un?
I can see your a little over excited Kim!
Donald and Kim….Now that would be entertaining!
Ack, let’s throw in some big Vlad too!
So come on fellow Steemians, get those brain juices flowing and think about the future. Each post that you write could be part of your retirement fund.
Don’t get too down when a post doesn’t do too well, learn from it and move on, even post it at a later date if you think it was underrated because nobody viewed it. Improve it and repost if you need be. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that in my eyes.
This is a great community so post something! Anything!
I hope you guys enjoyed this piece and if so you know what to do….
