Roque de la Rapadura is a conspicuous, isolated rock or cliff, rising alone on the horizon. It is located on the east of the north coast of Tenerife, Spain. The Benijo beach, from where the shot was taken, is sandy, but since the coast is rocky around, there are also many bizarre stones on the beach, around which you can walk for a long time with a camera, choosing interesting angles for sunset photography, which is what I was doing :) At low tide, you can walk almost close to the rock, but when I was there, there was still a lot of water, and I photographed from a distance.
Well, in the daytime and from the observation deck above the Benijo beach Roque de la Rapadura looks like this. It seems rather small, but this is only against the background of a steep coast and even more grandiose rocks that are located further behind it. If you look at the photo in large size and zoom in, you can see a red dot on the slope of the coast, almost opposite the cliff. I'm not sure, but it seems to me that this is a man — so the scale immediately becomes clearer.
The village of Benijo, which is located higher above the coast, is quite easy to get by car. Although not a lot, tourists come here — just like us. An asphalt road goes up to here, and it seems that it continues further along the coast to the east, but as we were told, it will soon turn into a low-quality dirt road, and it is not a fact that all cars will be able to drive on it easily. It's a pity, we wanted to go further on exploration, to see El Draguillo (a small village with Canarian rural architecture and old wineries made of volcanic tuff) and those distant cliffs closer... And it would take too long to walk on foot. May be someday :)
