Sometimes while walking around seemingly already familiar places or very close to them, I suddenly find something new for myself. So, once walking near the village of Teriberka along the coast of the Barents Sea, I discovered this ice, or maybe frozen snow, on the edge of the surf. It formed bizarre patterns on the shore, and periodically tidal waves rolled over it. Although it would seem that over the past few days I have already walked along the neighboring beaches more than once, but there, on a more remote beach, I went for the first time.
Until that evening, I had not seen this, and there the ice lay along the entire beach, despite the fact that a wide strip of sand and the sea itself were clean, without the slightest sign of icing. Maybe this was due to a slight cold snap? In any case, it was unexpected and beautiful for me, and if it wasn't for the intensifying snowfall that was about to turn into a full-blown snowstorm, I would have stayed a little longer in that place, trying to find the most expressive ice pattern for the foreground and get the best shot. But we had to turn back as soon as possible — we were quite far from the village and our car, especially in the coming darkness in bad weather. However, I also like this shot that I took :)
