📷 Dawn over the Norwegian Sea

Dawn over the sea, over the mountains and over three small fishing villages on the island of Moskenesøya, Lofoten: A, Tind and Sørvagen. In the next photo there are two of them: Tind is lower in the center, above and to the right is Sørvagen. A shadow is visible on the surface of the sea cast by a small mountain range nearby.

And this is the village A (pronounced "O"), it is in the shadow — the sun has not yet risen from behind the mountains. This is a very popular place with tourists, very picturesque. The Lofoten Stockfish Museum and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum are located here.

In this shadow it is convenient to shoot miniature houses, piers and boats so that the light reflected from the snow does not dazzle. The shallow water is beautiful and transparent, coastal rocks and the seabed are visible through it.

There are a lot of mountains and rocks around the sea coast, a combination that I always really like. If the sea were warmer and it was comfortable to swim, it would be perfect :)

In the mountains near these villages, it’s nice to go hiking, there are several trails. What views should open from above!

The snow-capped mountains seem quite harsh, but this is only in winter. The height of this ridge hovers around 500 meters above sea level and there is a not too difficult route from the village of Sørvågen to the peak of Tindstinden (490 meters) - the mountain in the foreground directly above the village of Tind.

With the help of a drone, I managed to see some of the surroundings, but still climbing up with my feet and seeing all this beauty with my own eyes would be another matter. I love mountains and hiking since childhood :)

The snow-covered part between the mountains behind the village of A is the Lake Agvatnet. Amazing places.

I was in Lofoten for a very short time and we didn’t have much time in A. And in any case, hiking in the mountains is less pleasant in winter, but I’m glad that I at least partly saw these places from different angles, both from the ground and from above, and I am happy to share them with you.
