Yamato-Cho Shotengai is a street located in Naka Ward, Yokohama near Yamate Station (山手駅). A shotengai (商店街) is a shopping street with cafes, shops, and other small businesses that caters to the neighborhood. Many of the shops are small Mom & Pop stores and many have closed over the years because the shop owners have grown old and decided to retire. I am capturing images of the shops for memory`s sake as many businesses have come and gone throughout the years.
The street was originally a gun range used by foreigners in the late 1800s and early 1900s. That`s probably why the street is straight.
A restaurant on a street corner that serves many delicacies and drinks.

A small neighborhood restaurant and a general store.
