I've just been working in London. I was asked to facilitate a group of organisations and write a funding bid on their behalf with just eight days notice of the deadline. I was only available for four of those days, and for added frisson, the Universe decided I should have a cold during that week. But we got it done: my draft was completed four hours ahead of time, we gained the necessary endorsement from the powers that be (in this case, as a pan London bid, London Councils), the bid was proofread, word count and number checked and in it went.
