Floyd McGregor Press Conference

The Los Angeles Press Conference for Mayweather vs McGregor just finished and it was very spectacular and interesting to see Conor McGregor's reaction to Floyd's statements and Floyd Mayweather going from "Money" to "Pretty Boy".

Beginning

McGregor first came on the panel with a luxurious suit on and interacted with the crowd as his fans were the majority but didn't affect Mayweather as he used to being the heel. You would expect Mayweather to come out to something equivalent or more expensive but he just showed up in a TMT tracksuit. I believe this started the mind games as McGregor might've interpreted it as a sign of disrespect.

Itchy To Reply

McGregor started talking first during the press conference and promoted the fight really well then things got interesting. He started talking about if it was a real fight and money issues and that didn't seem to get under Mayweather's skin. Mayweather went into "Pretty Boy" mode when it was his turn and went at Conor. McGregor always tried to combat his words but Floyd always had counters.

Microphone Being Off

This had to get to McGregor. In his previous UFC pre-fight press conferences he'd usually shutdown anything his opponents had to say easily and because the crowd is on his side, the other fighter is convinced he is losing the press conference. However in this one, nobody was allowed to be interrupted as the other fighter's microphone was off and this might've made McGregor feel some type of way.

Forced To Be The Hero

McGregor has always been the villain in the UFC but due to massive fan cheering/support, it makes him the anti-hero. McGregor easily gets into the head of other UFC fighters (except for Nate Diaz who he lost to) and it was expected for Conor to get into the mind of Floyd but in fact, Floyd surprised many with his trash talking and it seemed like something McGregor didn't expect too.

To Conclude

It was phenomenal seeing both of them face off and I'm trying to find a way to go to the Press Conference in London, Wembley as it's very close. I'm very sure Mayweather will win but not sure how he'll do so. Then again I do think McGregor will put up a better fight than people expect which will make the fight fun.
