In 1910, the Second International Women's Conference held in Copenhagen in Denmark. In this gathering, more than 100 women leaders from around the world have participated. The conference was urged to emphasize on March 8 as International Women's Day. In fact, on the 8th of March, 1911, women's equal rights were observed. Inevitably, on March 8, 1914, the status of International Women's Day was given. Till today, as a day of women's rights and freedom, 8 March was celebrated through various programs. Bangladesh has been observing the full significance of this day since 1971. Some countries of the world declared this as a public holiday on March 8. Bangladesh is celebrating March 8 as International Women's Day in due status. However, the significance of the day is not limited to a specific day. If women are not able to ignore their respect, rights and the way to the minimum of daily activities, then consider how light the importance of the day will be. It is important to consider where the main features of the day stand where they can not come out of the grave narrations of deprived women at the workplace.
