As a child you convinced me to believe blindly, all the while convincing me what was done for me was done out of love.
You taught me to trust and obey someone who was not even seen with my eyes and to have a conversation with someone who would not even talk back except through self proclaimed or appointed prophet and words written by men on pages.
You told me to cast away my lusts and not to give into the temptation of pleasing my sexual desires. All the while nature was calling me home.
You told me to give 10 percent of my earnings because that is what was required and if I did not then I would be cursed.
You told me not to question because I did not create the sun, stars, ocean and moon.
You told me that the one that we are worshiping is coming back soon, so I waited and waited and waited, while giving my time, energy and money for the cause.
I know now that what you told me was not all real because I broke free from your dogma and indoctrination and learned different skills.
Critical thinking and logic helped me to think for myself. With them I regained autonomy as well as sound mental health.
The fears that you instilled in my mind and thoughts have gone away, now I am able to heal from the poison that you coerced me to drink everyday. Autonomy regained.
