Xylem Tissue
Xylem tissue is responsible for the transport of water and dissolved substances from roots to the aerial parts. Due to the presence of lignin,the secondary walls of its cell are thick and rigid. That is why xylem tissue also provides support to plant body. Two types of cell are found in xylem tissue. vessel elements and tracheids. Vessel element or cells have thick secondary cell walls. They lack end walls and join together to form long tubes. Tracheids are slender cell with overlapping ends.

زائلم ٹشو پانی اور تحلیل شدہ مادوں کو جڑوں سے ہوائی حصوں تک پہنچانے کے لیے ذمہ دار ہے۔ لگنن کی موجودگی کی وجہ سے اس کے خلیے کی ثانوی دیواریں موٹی اور سخت ہوتی ہیں۔ اسی لیے زائلم ٹشو بھی پودوں کے جسم کو سہارا فراہم کرتا ہے۔ زائلم ٹشو میں دو قسم کے خلیے پائے جاتے ہیں۔ برتن عناصر اور tracheids. برتن عنصر یا خلیات موٹی ثانوی سیل دیواریں ہیں. ان میں آخری دیواروں کی کمی ہوتی ہے اور ایک ساتھ مل کر لمبی ٹیوبیں بنتی ہیں۔ Tracheids ایک پتلی سیل ہیں جن کے سرے اوور لیپنگ ہوتے ہیں۔
